Being a gamer for over 10 years .. playing games from wow, EQ1, EVE and many many others.. i can tell you that gaming for many people is highly addictive. and if you have that mentality (like me) than you will and i promise you lose out on alot of real life things.
I started by playing an hour or 2 than progressed to a few hours a night..suddenly my wife would be in bed an it would be 4 am.
I have missed and openly acknowledge the fact, alot of things but gaming is addictive like a drug.. extremely hard to break.
You wont become a loser mate.. just a hermit lol.
At one time i had to pack my pc up and put into storage to break my gaming habits. control the amount of time you spend each night/day befor you get to the point i once was.

it depends on you actually though its really kinda addcting..i have sum classmates always playing dat kind of game en guess wat..all of them are in the ''line of 7'' lol..peace ^^

You won’t ruin your life. I played WoW for a couple years. Quit last year around September. I don’t really regret playing, because I thought it was really fun. It just got boring. If you are addicted to it, I suggest that you take a break from the game. If you don’t want to play it anymore, try playing on Private Servers, those will make you sick of the game fast.

If you don’t want to play it anymore, QUIT! You’ll be happier!

Not even ultra addicts of Wow will play forever, they willget bored sooner or later.Or what you could do is delete their profiles.I doubt they'll want to start all over again.

an easy way to quit World of Warcraft is to slowly shorten the time u play each day. Say if you are really addicted and u play over 6 hours a day play 15-30 min less each day.
once you have decided you have reached a reasonable amount of time each day then it will shorten your addiction.
For example, if you play for 2 hours a day then you won’t have time to join a raid, instance, party, etc.
