Can SOME gaming time be considered Healthy?

What do you think is the minimum, maximum and advice to be a decent gamer without being an addict or lazy bum?

minimum.. zero

I don’t think gaming helps anything (accept us gamers will tell everyone it improves eye hand coordination but going outside will do that twice as fast)

maximum… 3 hours a day

I’ve found if I play more than 3 hours I am completely unproductive that day because I get home from work at 6 pm every day.

My advice… NEVER GET WORLD OF WARCRAFT! I was intelligent enough not to get this game. Though addicting and awesome it ruins lives (just watch the south park episode)

Then you have your games like guitar hero. If anyone spent half the time playing the real guitar as they do guitar hero who knows what they could accomplish?! Which is exactly what I did. I traded my guitar hero in for a recording interface. A great decision

I hope that helps

I’m not sure about the times, but my friend did a science project where he let kids do push up and a math test before and after playing video games. Half got more push ups after playing the games, and everyone did worse on the math test after playing. Hope i can help.

i dont see it being bad unless u sit there and eat all kinds of junk food and stuff.

Actually, some doctors believe that some gaming is good for your hand-eye coordination. But, if you play too close to the tv, or you don’t do some other activities–physical wise–, that’s bad for you too.
