Are there any other games like RuneScape besides World of Warcraft?
I like games where you can walk around inside the world rather than looking at a series of still images during the game. I’d prefer if the entire game was not about killing. Also, I’d like to walk around and explore rather than being forced to follow a single plot line. Most importantly, this must be a FREE game that does NOT require me to download anything to my computer. Online-based games are cool (and rare these days!).

Good luck finding another browser-based game, to my knowledge, runescape is the only MMO that doesn’t require a download of any sort. It’s incredibly rare to have an MMO inside a browser. If you want something other than runescape, you’ll have to settle for the series of still images, or download a game. Some good ones to download are:

Silkroad Online
Flyff
Ghost Online

You could try Maple Story. There is no plot line except for quests along the way. The images in the game move…and it’s free. Check it out at nexon.net.

No. Most of the MMOs are about killing, and either require installation from the disc or downloading online. Runescape is pretty rare in that regard. You could try something like Oblivion or some other single player RPG, which have many more options besides killing, but they do have that one time purchase price.

yes tehre is a game called frugooscape.net its just like runescape but you can use codes to get free items and you have no requerments to wear them its as simple as doint this for a dragon chain body ::Pickup (item code) and then the amount of them you want
you can find the item code at the top of the screen by searching it although this game will be down for a few months due to a change in management and a software update
